Maya felt tears pouring down from her eyes.
"Oh, Kris..." she said with a small sob.

"He's not breathing..." the judge said as he reached down to take a pulse. "Looks like I'll have to resuscitate him." He pulled out a face mask and put it on over Kristoph's face. "This is so I don't spread germs as easily. That's my story, anyway."

"Not breathing? No, that can't be..."

"I'll need everyone to stand back. Hopefully, I won't break his ribs." He put one hand on top of the other and began pushing. One and two and three and four and... He stopped when he got to twenty and breathed through the mask. Then, he checked the pulse and breathing again. If he didn't feel anything, he tried again.

Maya had no clue what to do as she stood back and watched the judge desperately try to bring Kristoph back to life.

Arg stop it! This isn't helping! I need my body to be still! As he felt a bit of shakes and warm air he was still in the darkness. He then noticed why he couldn't go back into his body. There were locks...black ones they were cold and just touching them made him have the strong need to weep. Of coarse...I may have let all my secrets out in Maya's body but not in my own so I'll have to recite them in my thoughts. He hoped he would get the chance to go back into his body before it was too late.

He shook his head and he knew what this meant. "Your Honor I think it's too late. I think he may have already passed on." he said. The air was thickening with a depressing feel to it, yet there was also the feeling of tension. Kristoph if you're still alive in spirit and you can hear me please don't go. Maya, Apollo, and your brother need you. He then thought he heard something shatter. Like if a mirror had broken into shards.
The 1st lock was broken. Only 4 to go.

One of the locks had shattered but there were four left. He had heard Wright's plea for him to stay it seemed like these instances were the keys to these locks. These were the keys to saving his life. Don't go, Kris. I..still need your shoulder to cry on. I love you Kris. It was Maya's voice he could hear the sorrow in her voice. The second lock shattered, three more to go. I-I just need three more and my body needs to be still or my soul can't adjust properly.

He could only stand by and watch the scene. He had went over to confort Maya. There's no use in reviving a corpse. He had said it himself that he was going to rest. The scene was heatbreaking and he wondered what Klavier and Apollo were thinking about this. It must have been hard for Klavier to see this seeing as Kristoph was his brother. He was also Apollo's mentor who had taken him in as an apprentice.

"N-Nick..." Maya said, giving Phoenix a huge hug. "He...He'll make it, right?" She could hear the doubt in her own voice as she stared at the judge, still desperately trying to revive Kristoph.

Why am I even doing this? the judge thought as he breathed into Kristoph's mouth through the mask before doing more reps. You are very important to everyone here. You have affected all of these lives one way or another. Who knew being drafted when I was 18 would come in handy at a time like this?

You have affected all of these lives one way or another. Another one had shattered and there were only 2 more left. He had tried to get past the locks alas no avail. He then noticed Gumshoe had offered to take Kristoph to the hospital. As much as I appreciate the offer Detective Gumshoe I doubt they would be able to revive my corpse. He then felt himself detamerializing. No I can't go now. Ach I just need to break two more! He wanted to some how tell them what had happened but he couldn't in this state.

"To tell you the truth Maya I'm not sure. Things look like there going downhill." he said. Come on Kristoph you have to pull through. If you were able to reform yourself then you have to stay alive. He knew that things were taking a turn for the worst but he was now focusing on helping Maya cope with this.

The judge started to feel dizzy.
"I...Can't..." he panted feebly.

"It's okay, Your Honor. You did all you could," Maya said.

The judge looked down, ashamed of himself as he stopped the desperate pounding on Kristoph's chest.
"It...Never seems to work when I do it..." he said between gasps for air as he pulled out the tweezers.

Maya noticed Gumshoe say something about taking Kristoph to the hospital and immediately shook her head.
"Detective Gumshoe, I..." She hung her head sadly. "Even if you could stop the other policemen from arresting him, I don't think Kristoph would want to go to the hospital..."
"To tell you the truth, Maya, I'm not sure. Things look like they are going downhill," Phoenix replied. Maya shook her head.
"I can see that, Nick. Just...Lie for me, please. Just this once," she said, choking back sobs.

The judge removed the remaining two bullets and sewed the wounds back up. There. At least, if you're not completely gone yet, you won't bleed to death. He chuckled. It's really so I can honestly say I did all I could, so I may forgive myself later just in case...

As people began to loose hope, Kristoph began to fade."If any of you can hear me, don't loose hope... please don't." he pleaded. His words just made a faint echo in the wind.to him it would be a surprise if anyone did. He was only able to stand by his corpse and watch everyone mourn for him. The sight was heartbreaking and he himself was feeling their sorrow. He then saw a light and something was attracting to it. Kristoph saw the light then turn into a fiery inferno. He had expected this but he was wishing that someone could see him and pull him away from the flames.

He had thought be had seen everything but he noticed a transparent Kristoph getting lured into a fire. He rubbed his eyes and saw that it was real. Kristoph looked as if he was in a trance. He rushed over to Kristoph trying to stop him from walking into the blazing inferno. "Kristoph stop! Don't do this!" Phoenix shouted while trying to push Kristoph back.

A voice kept repeating itself his head. He wasn't able to fight it. "Yes, I must become one with the flames." he said in a tranced induced voice. This was how death was going to send Kristoph into the abyss to pay for his crimes, for an eternity.

Maya thought she saw Nick run over to stop Kristoph's...Spirit? What was going on? A fire was in front of Kristoph.
"N-no! Kris! Don't...Don't give up! We're all here for you!" she shouted. She ran to Kristoph's spirit and hugged it without feeling anything and started feeling tears form in her eyes. "Please...You said you'd be strong...for the both of us, remember?" The tears began escaping from her eyes. "You have to fight now...Please..."

The judge saw Phoenix pushing at something invisible, then Maya...Hugging it? Confused as he was, he walked over to the two of them. It was only when he came closer that he realized who they were stopping. It was Kristoph's spirit.
"Mr. Gavin," the judge said forlornly. "This isn't the end already, is it? I thought you were stronger than that. You certainly gave me that impression in the courtroom. You struck me as the type to never give up." He felt tears coming to his eyes, but not entirely because of Kristoph. Just like my son... he thought bitterly. Similar speech and everything.

"You said you'd be strong...for the both of us, remember?" he heard Maya weep. He managed to stop in place for awhile. "I-I'm trying but death is pulling me in. The black locks are preventing me from living again." he said trying his hardest to resist. He felt as if he were chained by something. The coldness of chains were there but he couldn't see them. You have to go. You can't fight fate. The voice kept dissrupting his resistance.

He had heard about Kristoph talking about some sort of locks blocking him from returning to life. He then quickly held his Magatama and saw the black psyche locks on Kristoph's corpse. He also saw some chains on Kristoph that could only be seen with a Magatama. They must have been spirit chains the ones that usually lead people's souls to their death. "That's why." he whispered to himself. He then said something quietly "I forgive you."Phoenix whispered as he saw the chains weaken. The chains were still pulling Kristoph in but it did enough for Kristoph's spirit to stay in place.

"K-Kris..." Maya said, her voice shaking. She buried her head into Kristoph's shoulder, still not feeling anything. "You...Said I could cry on your shoulder...That you'd be there to wipe away my tears. Please..." Her voice was still shaking.

Putting all of his energy into resisting he had broken free from some of the grip death had on him. There was still one left and it was pulling at his ankle at full force. He dug his nails into the ground as he fell. I have to keep alive. I can't keep thinking that fate can deside anything. I have to live! He felt the flames slowly try to creep onto him. He managed to drag himself far enough to the point where he could no longer feel the heat thanks to the help of Wright. Another reason to why you should comply. Even your brother has let you fend for yourself as you are here fighting for your soul.

He tried to pull Kristoph away from the fire but it was nearly impossible since he was almost competely transparent. He was only able to get a grip on him for 5 seconds and then he'd slip away from him. He was lucky that he was able to keep Kristoph away from the fire when he almost fell in. The chain that he saw on Kristoph's ankle finally snapped and the flames dimmed. Kristoph then had gotten up and then walked over to his body.

Kristoph had touched the last locks after muttering something under his breath and trying to keep his cool. Both of them had shattered but there was only a minute left before he could actually come back. Kristoph's soul dissapeared and soon a small gasp was heard. "Well I should be thanking all of you for not letting me go to hell." he said standing up as if he were never injured at all. It seemed that the judge's medical expertice kept himself from dying of bleeding. It was indeed a close call yet he was able to make it. It seemed that was the time where he did rise from the ashes.

Maya squealed in delight and tackled Kristoph, completely forgetting that he might have still been hurt from the whole being-shot-by-a-psychopath thing. She stood up on her tip-toes and kissed him. Eventually, she stopped. Tears were in her eyes.
"I'm...I'm so glad you're here, Kris," she whispered, giving Kristoph a hug.

The judge watched as Maya tackle Kristoph, and felt a little awkward standing there when they kissed.
"I'm...I'm so glad you're here, Kris," Maya whispered. The judge cleared his throat.
"I'll have to check those stitches every fifteen minutes. The last thing we need is for them to get infected or torn," he said. He then turned and started walking away.

As Maya tackled and kissed him he had felt happier than ever to be alive. He had kissed her back passionately and ignored the pain of the bullet wound. After hearing the judge tell him about the inspection he nodded. He then snapped his attention to the now weaping Maya. He knew exactly what to do because it was their promice. He dried off her tears, spun her around, and kissed her. He completely ignored the fact that there was his brother, his apprentice, and Wright watching.

He had made a sigh of relief after Kristoph came back from the dead. He had to give Kristoph credit, if he was so determined to escape from death's grasp then he thought he shouldn't deserve to get held in another circle of hell. He was smiling when Maya was happy and as of now that was what really did matter.

Maya smiled as Kristoph wiped her tears and spun her around. She knew what was coming, and she was more than prepared for it, kissing him back passionately and wrapping her arms around the back of his head as soon as his lips touched hers. She didn't want that moment to end.

He had felt Maya's lips and continued to kiss her. He finally ran out of breath and pulled away. He looked at her and smiled. "Hmm well now I'm not sure if I'm alive because this feels like heaven." he laughed softly. the long struggle between life and death had taught him not to really take life for granted. In this case now he had just felt the need to live his life to the fullest while he could.

With that incident over with the sun was already beginning to rise in the distance and Phoenix had desided to go to get some noodles. It was in fact morning and it was about time for him to eat breakfast. While purchacing a bowl of noodles he had realized that the noodles had tasted a bit...odd. Okay I've eaten here many times before but something about these noodles tastes a bit weird.
A few moments later...
Phoenix had thown up in a trash can and figured he had eaten some bad noodles. This was odd though vecausem just a few moments ago everyone had noodles and they were just fine. In Phoenix's head he was thinking it was due to Kristoph's hidden plan or just some bad noodles. Only time would tell if anyone else had some bad noodles.

The judge walked up to Phoenix.
"Bad noodles?" he asked. "Odd. I feel fine."

Maya chuckled at Kristoph's comment, and saw the sun rise.
"Oh. I guess that means you have to head back..." she began, but then Maya had a feeling in the pit of her stomach. Fear? Love? No, nausea! She ran to the nearest trash can, pushing Phoenix aside and spewing out noodles and hamburgers. They looked so much more delicious when she ate them the day before.

The judge stepped back, giving Maya her room.
"Well, now. Looks like you're not the only one with food poisoning, Mr. Wright." I don't get it. I had more noodles than anyone here, but I feel fine. I don't think this is merely food poisoning.

He was somewhat worried when he saw both Wright and Maya throw up in a garbage can. Apparently it was food poisoning yet he couldn't help but also have a rush of nausea wash over him. "Excuse me for a moment." he said nonchalantly as he walk over to a row of hedges where nobody would see him. With that he found himself vomiting up some green tinted noodles as well as a few stray chunks from his prison food eaten prior to his arrival the noodle stand. It was after that his esophigus was burning from the regirgitation of stomach contents. After doing so he wiped his mouth with a hankerchief and discarded it in a nearby trash can.

When he was pushed aside he knew that Maya had eaten the food poisioned noodles. Aside from that he though he saw Kristoph in the distance that he had eaten the noodles too. As he sat down on a bench to recover he silently swore to himself to check his noodles before he ate them. One things for sure is that Mr. Eldoon was going to get a ton of complaints from his customers today.

"Hm...Is anyone else sick?" the judge asked as he handed Maya and Phoenix handkerchiefs. "I ate more noodles than any of you guys and yet I feel perfectly healthy." What would explain this if it wasn't food poisoning? Was someone targeting them specifically? Why wouldn't this affect me? He casually walked over to Kristoph.
"So, does it feel hot out here to you?" he asked, trying to gauge whether or not Kristoph had a fever by his answer.

Maya gladly took the judge's handkerchief and wiped the disgusting vomit off her face. She then looked at Phoenix who was sitting on the bench.
"Sorry about shoving you, Nick," Maya said. "It was either I push you out of the way or I throw up all over you." She smiled.
