AAI will hit the U.S. and DS on Feb. 16, Capcom announced today.

In Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth gamers will take on the role of the prosecutor. Players will use Edgeworth to investigate crime scenes in order to pursue the truth behind each case.

By solving the puzzles presented to him, Edgeworth will work with the police to bring criminals to justice.

If you're at Comic-Con this week you can check the DS title out at the Capcom booth.

Do you know, or anyone that went to Comic-Con tell us how many playable cases are available? Is it just the first case only? Cause I was gonna say maybe some people can write English names of the characters while they are there. ;)

Comic-Con didn't happen yet. I think it's in a few days... :butzthumbs:

Nevermind, I'm wrong. :sadshoe:

Yet, there's some reason why we didn't get any info yet...but be patient and we'll probably get some soon enough... :godot:

It's probably the same demo that was playable at TGS08, but localized.

That is, Case 1, until the first Confrontaion (or Rebuttal, whatever).
So we should get only Nakamado and Yuuki's names.
We already know, from a screenshot, that Nakamado's name is "Buddy Faith", and that Yuuki calls him "Jim".
Also, from a video/screenshots, Yuuki's last name is "Portsman".

That is true.

For example, on page from Nintendo, the date that the sale is January 16, 2010:

http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/iz ... lmjQNZ90gA

In any case, I found this information, and not as I saw, I put :phoenix:

If the 19th February 2010 in the UK is accurate, that could not be a more convenient time for me.
(Released day before birthday :DD)

Not to mention they're becoming more aware of us European fans, considering how close the Europe release is to the American. Maybe its coverage at Captivate was proof of that.

I think you may be on the ball with that. A popular western request was unified NA EU release dates. Considering the drama I hear is involved in unifying release dates, I'm actually surprised they hit the same month, let alone the same week, and never mind that it's only half a week on top of that.

Go Capcom!

Huh. Where did you hear that?

It doesn't sound right, as new games at GAME are released on Fridays over here, the 24th would make it Wednesday.

I read it was the 14th. I mistyped it as 24th. But I dunno where I read it. I think it was Capcom's twitter or something.

Anyone heard anything about it getting released in Australia?

Oh God, I remember that! One year of late because PEGI wanted to give 16+ for the third chapter >_> !

Fortunately, not in this case :gant: ! But I REALLY hope that isn't a joke the release of the game in the 19th of February!

I KNOW. I have no idea what happened with T&T: I heard there was some drama about the suicide depiction in one case which pushed back the release or something, but... seriously-- it's weird. It's still fairly hard to come by in Australia, I've found. I've only ever seen one copy of the game in a shop before. :(

I really hope the same won't happen with this one.

I heard a rumour that the reason Europe's delayed T&T release was because of Jean Armstrong. Apparently, he was very stereotypically French, and camp on top of that. If that character was shown in France, they'd probably have a fit over how offensive that would be. I'm guessing they spent all that time trying to find a way around it, and eventually settled on making him (I think it was) Spanish.

What, T&T never got released here? The copy I got was from a seller on Oztion. I've seen one copy in-store, in EB Games in-- it was either Doncaster or Plenty Valley. I knew it was hard to find in Australia, but I never guessed it would be THAT hard to get. Whoa.

(In that case, I assume it's the UK version: US games tend to be in a different zone and stuff, and someone told me they won't play on Aussie DSes.)

I was very happy when the T&T exi in spain because when exi the apollo justice in spain I was thinking that the T&T never go to exi in EU.

EBay, m'dear. :)

As The Sandwich said, they're region-free (mine's actually the US version and it has on the back of it that it's not for sale outside the US-- HA!) and many eBay sellers will happily do overseas sales.

The only thing is, though, it won't be cheap. :( From my understanding, the NZ dollar's worse than ours, and I've seen some of them going for AU$50 plus postage.

I wonder why it never got out here and NZ? I always thought it was a censorship issue with regards to the suicide issues.

Capcom's department in Australia has traditionally been rather slow with regards to Ace Attorney. Remember PW1 and the gap between US, EU, and AU release dates? I personally think it has less to deal specifically with the game's content as it does with general red tape.

New release games in NZ are really expensive, anyway about $80. Pokemon D/P are still that price, even though they've been out for over 2 years. *sigh* Ebay it is... And I so wanted to actually buy a copy of an AA game for once, too, as opposed to the roms.

Besides, I've seen a lot of games worse than AA in stores...

I think it should come out quickest in Australia because Japan can translate it (I'm certain Capcom of USA translate it) and then shout, "Hey ya'll, here is some Ace Attorney goodness, enjoy!" and throw it down the line from Japan, to Taiwan, to the Philippines, to Papa New Guinea, and then to Australia. I know that isn't how it works, but I at least thought it was funny anyhow. It sure does suck how many places outside the US get really cruddy release dates. I was well done T&T and I saw a release date on this site still for other places.

Anyways, February 16th can't be any farther away can it? I was pretty unsure about getting the new Ace Attorney game, but I changed my mind after watching some game play videos on Youtube and now I really want it. I felt this way when Apollo Justice was announced, but I quickly changed my mind and bought it. My money is pretty much spent on any AA games that come out haha.

Oh yeah, I know. But I know our censors are funny about a couple of topics. They had no issues with all the violence in Grand Theft Auto, but the car rocking with a sex worker in it? They flipped out over it, and demanded that function (which restored health, dammit!) was taken out. There's a room in the strip club in Vice City which you can do absolutely NOTHING in-- makes me think something similar happened there, that something was meant to happen, but it got deemed too horrible for a video game.

They also won't have an "Adults only" rating for video games, which just strikes me as stupid (I mean, we have them for DVDs, don't we?). So nonetheless, we can and do miss out, or we get our games censored. It fucking sucks.

The closest thing I've seen to that is an R-16 rating, and the highest ESRB rating they have is an M. From what I recall, AA is rated T.

EDIT: My bad, ESRB has an AO rating, but they didn't use it at all in 2008. Besides, I don't think it's enforced as much as with DVD's. Hey, maybe that's the reason I've never seen AO rated games in NZ.

I don't know about Australia, but I have it on good authority that the release of T&T in Europe was not delayed due to its content, but because of scheduling conflicts on Capcom's end.

From what I've heard, it's not going to come off in spanish (the spanish version being the same english version with spanish manual) since they are no longer distributed by Nintendo and the new company isn't going to translate the game. Anyone knows if it's true? Way to spoil a good game :chinami:
