Jean x Iris has the sort of impression and gives an instant reaction; it certainly stands out for me. A fat gay chief who needs to work on his catering skills more and a pretty shrine maiden who seems like she has her head in the clouds. It sounds like a very unlikely pairing. But what Jean Armstrong and Sister Iris are, in my opinion, one of the loveliest crack pairings around in the fandom. Jean adores flowers and Iris was named after a flower and they both have that sort of floral sense about them. But hey both have quite a bit in common; they both in some way helped other people commit crimes. Jean didn't stop Furio framing Maggey and Iris didn't really stand up to her sister much. They have that shyness about them and they're both controversial characters and overly sweet.
Seriously if Jean ever met Iris I think he would get flustered by her prettyness. Kinda like what happened with Maya when she was holding onto the job things Victor had and Jean employed Maya in an instant. I can definatly imagine the same thing happening to Iris if she was looking for a job and she walked into tres bien.
I think Jean and Iris would get along so well. Jean always tries his best to please, even if it does fail and I think Iris is Jean's dream employee. So even if they don't get much profit as such, since only a few people show up at the Tres Bien, on a business scale, I think the pair of them would get along really well. I think Jean would consider Iris as a best friend. And think of all the blushing going on, it would be adorable. The whole thing would probably give Iris a roller coaster ride, sometimes she'll get really excited, others she might feel traumatized. So it can spice up Iris' life more and it gives Jean a friend. And the pair of them can try to create beautiful muffins together.
There's a saying never mix business with pleasure, and I think Jean breaks this rule big time and will make the restaurant his pleasure and it's failing buisness. I'm sure Iris would want to help him in some way. If I recall correctly, Bikini said in the credits that they got a lot of money after the trial. Jean claims to be a timid girl inside and I have this line in my head. I can imagine Jean saying: Oh Iris, I would so go lesbian for you...
I've seen a few people say either poor Iris or poor Jean. It's kinda funny. And I'd like to see Iris in the tres bien costume. They would be lots of hugging, kissing and squishing all round which would be totally cute. I think it's also a pretty unique pairing and that's kinda why I appealed to it even more. That is an extended version to why I adore Jean x Iris. Both are pretty compatible.
