It will be infinitely better on the Wii than on PS2.

That's all I know.

Dont get 2 if three is coming out next year!

The storyline will be identicle, but with new players and a couple of extra levels of story for the new characters, King Vegeta, Nail and King Cold etc.

Basically the storyline is always repeated, you dont miss anything by not getting 2.

All I know is that I will be skipping out on BT3 like I did with all the previous installments. I just can't handle fighting games like Budokai and Soul Caliber. They're more button mash fests than anything else. To me they're about as pleasant to play as RTS (Real-Time Strategy).

Soul Caliber II is the only fighting game I own and I don't play it very often.

For a DBZ game, it's pretty decent. Not to say it's the best fighting game in the history of ever, but with the serious draught of fighters being released in the States (especially since it's now mostly Tekken, Soul Calibur and Virtua Fighter, with a few rehashes of Street Fighter here and there), it's a decent title to pick up, with loads of unlockables if that's your thing.

Never felt like a game that you can fly, destroy environments and shoot UBERMASSIVE 10xkamehamehas at people?
It's satisfying, to say the least, and with new day night oozaru transformy thing, plus all new characters and arenas (Like Frieza's spaceship above Planet Vegeta) Have hinted that the storyline (which is good too, it has a story) will go back even further, to a time before the saiyan saga, when there were cataclysmic battles between King Cold and King Vegeta..

Cannot Wait..

If what you say is true then I may just pick it up. Fighting games aren't my thing but if it has a story then I may just have to play it.

DBZ BT and DBZ B series always have a way to play through the entire dragon ball z story arc, I'm hoping DBZ BT3 will have a story that goes from DB-DBGT (even though GT sucked) along with all the movie battles and hinted, but never seen story lines.

I have a question about the Wii version of the game...how can you handle the controls? :udgy:

'mote+chuck.

For special moves, hold down two particular buttons and do a motion with the 'mote. Other than that, it's a button combination.

Actually, to do kamehameha, you put the Ninchuck behind you, and thrust it forward like real DBZ. (no joke)
And spirit bomb, you thrust it up in the air.

You smoke drugs, son. While it is a "motion backwards, then to front", you don't have to put it behind you.

OK, Yes, I'm on drugs... heck I'm asthmatic.

But, I see your point, I was only relaying information given to me in a video preview. I guess it more "exciting" to do it the proper way, but I see you point that any back to front motion would suffice.

The "proper" motion is to the side, anyway. Back and to the left, then forward :P

Now that's just padantic... I kinda thought that common sense would tell you that i didn't mean hold it behind your back...

Just turn sideways, pull it back and thrust forwards...

does it actually matter?

I'm getting it on the ps2 anyway. Although, i wish they'd do one on the 360.

Unless you've actually watched the DBZ show and know it by heart (likes it's diehard fans do) don't try the Wii version, you'll just get way to confused.

I do know the DBZ show by heart, but I think it would still be confusing. I also think that the system would get confused, and not respond with all the eratic movements.

At least a 360 version would make more sense than the Wii version.

Spoiler:
They should make it for the PS3 as well, but I forgot any mentions of the PS3 would cause everyone to go on a Frenzy and starts bashing the PS3 as if were a disease.

Yeah, but the Wii version brings more inovation, and to me, that's better than the PS2 version. Look, I love me some DBZ, but unless they present something that isn't "press the □ button untill you win," I'm going to pass these games. The day-to-night thing is mildly ineresting, but I refuse to fork $40-$50 on the same game + more chars and a random ape encounter.

Ah, touche.

Well, I was trying to state that I would prefer the Wii version over the PS2 version with better graphics, (which is what the 360 version would be) although looking back at my previous post I didn't quite phrase it like that...

setting fire to dog crap and throwing it at a lamp post is innovative, doesnt mean it's good.
But the 360 and PS3 need DBZ games.
Yea that's right, I said:

yeah
but we are talking about a game
the wiimote is innovative.
and, for the record, the wiimote is good. (I know, cos I have it)
and it offers variation to normal style controls.
which is different from the usual click "-" now style.
at least they are trying to change it, no matter how complicated.
so,
innovation can and will be better.
