This year, there are two big things I want: a scanner (since I don't have one, and I kinda need one so I can post my art online and have it not look all fuzzy--I've had to use my digital camera to take pictures of my art, and half the time the photos come out really poorly), and a new pair of checkered Vans (I got a pair last year, but I've worn them so much that they're getting really, REALLY ratty--like, falling apart).
I'm also really hoping for Scribblenauts, either FireRed or LeafGreen (I'm not picky about this), and a couple of CDs. And I always get chocolate and a T-shirt or two, so that's good.
Yeah. Christmas is a big deal in my family. I tend to get a couple (between one and three, as a rule) "big" presents, and a bunch of smaller presents. For example, last year, my big presents were the aforementioned Vans, a pair of Doc Martens boots (which I'd been coveting for months), and the Calvin And Hobbes anthology.
My parents don't generally get me much outside of Christmas and my birthday, though, so it all evens out. :P

We don't get gifts on Christmas, but someone (it includes my family) celebrates it by making 12 dishes and going for kolyading (???) it's like "Trick or treat" thing catolics do in halloween. But (in our country) difference is in that we're making religious costumes and singing special songs to people. By the way, it's a cool way to get some income ;) Last time I with friends got 2 kilos of oranges, loads of candies, 50 hryvnas (10 dollars or so) and a bottle of beer =)
I'm expecting Gothic 4 game as a gift. And perhaps a new video card, because my computer can't even RUN such things as sacred 2 or stalker - clear sky.
