I haven't played the demo yet (found out my 3DS was on 1 battery so it's charging now). I'll be back when I have thoughts.
I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

It's probably due to the lack of parental controls. Under your circumstance, a parent can "override" the rating by purchasing the game for you, but without parental controls, there's nothing to verify that the parent gave approval.

If you're NNID is too young for the game, you can buy it on the website. I'm under 17, but I was able to buy DD online and send it right too my 3DS without any problems.

- I get what people mean already that case 1 is too on the nose about the "we hate lawyers" issue. After the game makes this point the third time when the audience starts going "booo" or whatever, it started to grate on me. I also thought the line about the judge being ready to take on the twilight realm was too badum-tsss and unfunny. Similarly, can we just stop the joke about Phoenix not recognizing Payne already? We're way past the diminishing returns factor of this joke :/
- but SURPRISE! I actually liked the demo! I think despite how outrageous the premise of Khura'in is, that the word building has potential especially if they ham it up later on. I also liked the English dub so far. It felt more appropriate for Phoenix to have his introductory dialogue the way it was written here rather than in DD. It seemed more like Phoenix's kind of monologue to have than all he"this is why I returned! Let's finish this!" And "wow, aren't you impressed by how much IMPACT this dialogue has!?" In Dual Destinies.
Looking forward to the release of the full game. I'm excited to see where the story of Khura'in goes.

Actually, you can bypass the age issue, if there is one, by buying the game on the Nintendo website. A friend of mine, who's 15, did the same with Dual Destinies. Also, since I'm already typing, I had two questions. First, is the Water Mirror segment supposed to look so....pixelated, if that's the right word? It looks more like an anime cutscene and not 3d. Is that the intended design choice or is it because I'm using a New 3ds XL? Second, I noticed that the demo says I have only 30 "uses". If I run out, do I have to wait a period of time before they refill? Is it permanently gone? I don't know how the "uses" work, this is my first time actually playing a demo. Furthermore, do my "uses" go down if I never leave the demo but I still replay it by going to the main menu after the trailer?

You can ease up in the lagginess ever so slightly on a homebrew a capable N3DS but only a tad. The game has a hard time getting to its 30fps cap.

Yep, it only counts launches. Of course, whenever you want to play another game, you'll have to close out of the demo.

I think I can handle only about....let's just assume it's the 26th, since it's almost midnight....13 more days without playing another game. I don't think I could use up all 30 uses in that time frame anyways. By the way, since I want as much space as possible for SoJ, just to be clear, to delete the demo, I just go into Data Management and remove the demo? Will that remove the demo completely and take back the blocks it used up? The reason I'm asking is because I never really had to delete anything on my 3ds before, I never had a reason to, until now.

I used to have Sam Waterston as my avatar but photobucket added a watermark and also Law & Order has been cancelled for 10 years so it's time for me to move on.

Dude, load times are not added. The game loads when it is streaming assets, e.g. loading geomitry, textures, lighting, files and post-processing. The reason it loads during flashbacks is becsuse they use a really high-Q sepia filter with focus-blur. IMHO the slick look of that effect is worth a bit more loading time lol
