I think (thunk xD) that thunker IS a word. I believe I heard it on a T.V. show.

I just checked urban dictionary and it has it there so...

This isn't a typo exactly, but it doesn't really make sense:
In case one, if you present an incorrect piece of evidence during a cross-exam, one of the possible dialogues between Mia and the Judge begins with Mia saying "Does this piece of evidence prove that the defendant is lying?"
The word defendant probably should be witness, or it doesn't make sense when Dahlia is on the stand.

Maybe you know she's using it in reverse like saying (it doesn't right?) trying to prove that her defendant isn't lying and then asking the judge if he stills thinks he is.

Then again I've not played GS3 so I dunno how the context works, just a guess.

How is the player supposed to figure out that the snapped wire was caused by Phoenix pushing Doug into the pole!? They're never very clear on these types of matters! And, for some strange reason, I never trust the witnesses. =/

Speaking of which, I just beat it. Took me a good five/and-a-half hours to do it, though. Christ, I'm slow! DX

Yeah, I don't know why, but for some reason, about 15 people that played that game actually understood that phrase. But, oh well. :redd:

But 'thunker' isn't a real English word. Now 'thinker' is which is what Phoenix was meant to say.

These typos give the game an added bit of personality otherwise lost to the revision of a script. I loved all the typos in the second one. It's second nature for me to imply what is meant by a common misspelling, I correct essays for my fellow calssmates in my college library. All the typos in the game required a double take on my part because what I saw on the screen didn't match what was in my mind.

Anyway. I think of it like my old leather jack and beat up old truck. They are both far from perfect and new looking but the flaws make them attractive to me. Plus they still get the job done.

For those who don't get it:

Phoenix undermined his OWN mental thought by using the word Thunker, thereby implying he ISN'T actually all that good a thinker as he thinks for doing so whilst thinking...it has NOTHING to do with a typo or a misinterpreted word.

The point is that they take you out of the moment. You're into the case, you're enjoying the otherwise great writing, and then you just notice "hey, that's wrong," and it jerks you out of the moment. I don't like that.

I agree with you, when I played the sad ending of JFA, it was so sad, the images and music worked so well, and I could imagine someone saying the lines in a sombre, sad way, then I was taken out of the moment with the "miracle never happen" line.

EDIT: Also, I've noticed that throughout Case 2 they constantly refer to DeMasque's emblem as a "broach" when the proper spelling for it should be "brooch".

-Broach: A spit for roasting meat
-Brooch: A clasp for pinning a piece of clothing to other material

In case 5-5 franziska says broach too.

At the beginning of Case 1, it shows Phoenix and Doug fighting, and when it is over, it says "Five years earlier - Mia's Second Case".
I feel like using "earlier" instead of "ago" implies that the trial is taking place five years before the fight. "Ago" seems to fit much better in this case, since it could be used to describe what preceded it and what follows it.

Well I'm near the end of Case 2.

So far I haven't noticed any typos, I even missed the 'The black mail thread didn't scare me'.

But the ones that were really noticeable were Ron's sentences when some of the text was highlighted grey.

I swear some of some of the text wasn't being highlighted right. The grey text would start in the middle of the word and would never end with a full stop.

One example I can remember went something along the line at the beginning of the trial, part 2:

:yuusaku:
But a thief can't be "poo

A thief can't be a piece of poo now can it?

Hopefully someone can write down a better explanation than I put.

EDIT: Just remembered which was also mentioned on the Capcom forms. In the first Case when Payne talks about the Union Jack, he says its the Flag of England. In fact the England flag is the St Georges Flag which is the red cross.

The Union jack consists of all three English, Scottish and Walsh flags put together so Payne should have refered to it as the 'United Kingdom' flag. Unless that doesn't get fixed, a lot of pissed off Scottish and Walsh people will be very unhappy. :chinami:

Yep, that is what I am assuming too.

And Mikker, the judge has been saying "Objection denied" since JFA. "Objection overruled" was used in the first game, which was not translated by the same team that worked on placing typos in on translating JFA and T&T.

That's the POINT. It's ment to say thief can't be "poor", but he mumbles it off! It's intended.
